Virginia "Ange" Yglesias

May 27, 1988 — Jun 25, 2026

Redlands

With heavy hearts, we announce the tragic passing of our beloved Virginia “Ange” Yglesias, who departed this life on June 25, 2026, at the age of 38.

Ange was born in Redlands, California, on May 27, 1988, to her mother, Virginia Flores. She was raised alongside her siblings in Mentone, where she seemed to know everyone and everyone seemed to know her. There she attended Redlands East Valley High School. To her mother, she was always, and always will be, her beloved Princess.

She was a mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. Those who were lucky enough to know Ange found a soul who loved and accepted them exactly as they were. She never knew a stranger and loved with all her heart. She nurtured lifelong connections and was a treasured maternal figure, confidante, and loyal friend. There wasn’t a friend who didn’t become family, nor a child she didn’t adore. Her playful spirit, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness drew people to her wherever she went.

Life was not always easy for Ange, and she was no stranger to hardship, but she never stopped trying. She always met life with resilience, compassion, and a heart that never grew bitter.

Ange’s greatest joy in life was being a mother. At 16 years old, Ange became a mother to her daughter, Angelyna “Honey” Moran, and from that moment on, Honey became the light of her world. No matter where life took Ange, her heart was always with her daughter. Even when miles separated them, Honey was never far from her thoughts. She also carried in her heart her son, Baby Sean, who was born sleeping. Although his time on earth was brief, he remained a part of her world, and she loved him fiercely for the rest of her life.

We will miss Ange more than words can express. We will miss hearing her laughter, the way she could turn a simple afternoon into a party, seeing her with a little Nikon Coolpix, snapping photo after photo, and uploading yet another album to Facebook. We will miss her beautiful soul and the way she loved unconditionally. A part of our hearts left with Ange, but the joy, love, and memories she shared with us will remain. We are comforted in knowing she is reunited with her baby in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her dear son, Sean Lawrence Pries Jr.; her grandparents, Virginia Flores (Ruiz) and John Flores, who lovingly nicknamed her “Beaver”; and great-grandmother, Lupe Yglecias. Ange is survived by her daughter, Angelyna Moran (Jesus); mother, Virginia (Flores) Dominguez (Chris); siblings, Victoria Yglesias (Kevin), Manuel Yglesias (Michelle), Geoffrey Hanson, and Matthew Hanson (Ellissa); grandparents, Jennie and Manuel Yglesias Jr.; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who became family.

A wake will be held from 4:00 pm t0 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands. The funeral will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 16, 2026, and burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
