Tyus Jacob Champion

August 2, 1995 — October 6, 2021

Tyus Jacob Champion was called home by the Lord on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Tyus was a son,
grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. All those who truly knew Tyus remember him as
clever and precocious with a great sense of humor. We are saddened because he is gone from us far too
soon, but we smile remembering the precious moments we had him with us.

Born on August 2, 1995 in Loma Linda, California to Mariko San Champion & Adrian Timothy Narcisse.
Tyus grew up in the Redlands, California area and attended Kingsbury Elementary, San Gorgonio Middle
School, and graduated from Redlands High School in 2013. Tyus loved activities and participated in all
the local sports, church events, camping, swimming, and fishing. He played soccer, baseball, basketball,
hockey, mud bowl, ice-blocking, paintball, and Muay Thai. He attended youth camps and was baptised at
Fellowship in the Pass Church, in Beaumont, CA. He also attended Riverside City College and ITT
Technical Institute. At a very early age Tyus developed an interest in music. This musical interest soon
became a passion that led him to pursue a position on the drumline in the Redlands High School
Marching Band and as a percussionist in the orchestra.

Tyus is survived by his mother, Mariko and his father, Adrian.
On his mother’s side he had his sisters Addalyn, Hannalai, and Amara, brother in-law Christian, his great
grandmother, Frances Grannis, grandparents Paul and Denise Champion, uncles and aunts Ariel and
Rob, Beau, Brock and Farrah. He also leaves behind cousins Timerie, Brennen, Caleb, Gabe, Chase,
Hazel Mae, nephew Elias and niece Olivia.

On his father’s side of the family he had his sisters Victoria, Denise, Jada, brother, Colin, grandparents
Nina Narcisse-Ramos and Arturo Ramos, and Horace Nacisse, aunts and uncles Angela and Norris,
April and Kevin, Danielle, Airka, and Joshua. He also leaves behind cousins, Ashley, Abigail, Alexandria,
Hannah, Nina, Kevin, Samuel, Khloe, Parker and Blake.
On both sides of the family, he is mourned by great uncles, great aunts, tons of second and third cousins,
friends, and colleagues.

He will be greatly missed, but will remain eternally in the hearts of his loved ones. When someone we
love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. We will treasure Tyus’ memory forever.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been
called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
