Thomas Joseph Siminski, born January 10,1963 went to rest on January 30, 2026.

A native of Gary, Indiana, and a longtime resident of Crown Point, Indiana. Tom carried the values of his hometown with him throughout his life. Indiana was always home, even as his professional journey led him to California.

For the past two years, Tom worked in Redlands, California, where he served as Director of Nursing for the Emergency Department and Observation Unit at Redlands Community Hospital. An exceptional nurse leader, Tom’s compassion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to patient care touched countless lives throughout his distinguished career.

Before joining Redlands Community Hospital, Tom held significant leadership roles across multiple healthcare systems, which included Director of Emergency Care Services for Palomar Health, and Kaweah Delta Medical Center. Tom also spent 27 years at The University of Chicago Medicine as a nurse leader, ultimately becoming the Executive Director of Pediatric Nursing. He was widely respected for his steady leadership, clinical excellence, and the genuine care he showed to patients, families, and colleagues alike.

Outside of his profession, Tom found joy in many passions. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his teams. One of his greatest hobbies was owning harness racing horses, and he especially loved watching them race—an interest that brought him both excitement and peace. Tom loved having large Fourth of July parties for all his family and friends. Tom also had a fondness for Snoopy, a character that reflected his warmth, humor, and gentle spirit.

Above all, Tom was deeply devoted to his family, especially his wife, Donna, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. Their life together was a constant source of strength and joy, and their bond was evident to all who knew them.

Tom also carried in his heart the memory of his beloved son, Brandon Thomas Siminski, who passed away at the age of 29. The loss of Brandon was a profound and life-changing moment for Tom, yet he continued to honor his son through the compassion, resilience, and empathy he showed toward others throughout the remainder of his life.

Tom is survived by his wife, Donna Siminski; his siblings, James (Marie) Siminski of Dallas, Texas, and Andrea (Larry) Dernay of Bremen, Indiana; along with many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews and close friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Thomas Siminski; his nephew Jimmy Zervos: his parents, Chester and Eleanor Siminski; and his parents-in-law, Jenny and Walter Cuprinski.

Tom's legacy lives on in the lives he touched as a nurse and leader, the family he loved so deeply, and the compassion he extended to everyone around him. We will remember Tom by his favorite quote, "TODAY IS ANOTHER BLESSED DAY."
