Robert Thurston Houk

Robert Thurston Houk, 81, passed away unexpectantly on September 27, 2026 in Los Angeles, California. He was born June 14, 1945 to Thruston and Bernice Houk in Portland, Oregon but spent almost his entire life in the Hawthorne and Los Angeles area. Robert graduated from Hawthorne High School and worked for many years in Hawthorne first at Northrop Grumman and then at Vought Aerospace helping to build large commercial airliners. Robert received recognition for his diligence and reliability right up until his well earned retirement. He was a diehard Dodgers fan and will no doubt be following his team from above. Robert was preceded in death by both his parents and is survived by his longtime partner in life, Marlene Manjarrez, and his sister, Katherine Glover, and his niece, Tami Stephens. No funeral is planned and plans for a Celebration of Life gathering are not yet finalized.
