Robert Eugene Petersen

Robert Eugene Petersen was born in Sioux City, IA on December 11, 1921. He is survived by a brother, Chet Axthlem of Sioux City, IA and a sister Ruth of Temecula, California. He graduated from East High School in Sioux City, IA in 1941. He joined the Navy in 1943, and saw considerable amounts of combat while on a Destroyer in the South Pacific. After he was discharged from the Navy, he worked for Portland Cement until his time of retirement. He enjoyed a variety of sports, especially golf, which he played until his time of death. Interment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery. Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Redlands is handling arrangements.
