Remegia Umipig Juguilon was born in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur Philippines on October 7, 1936. She was one of four children born to parents Eugenio Umipig and Felisa De Leon. She was married to Pablito Juguilon on March 3, 1957. This marriage was blessed with four children - Diosdado, Josephine, Jocelyn and Zenaida.
Remegia was a very selfless person. She was very generous and kind, always willing to help her siblings and relatives. She was dedicated and a doting grandma who looked after all of her grandkids. She spoiled all of them with love and care - Joseph, Alissa, Aliana, Joshua Estipona; Christia Katrina, Christian, Cristina and Herbert Juguilon; Genesis Rosete and Genel Asido.
She was also driven to have a better life for her family. A strong-willed business minded woman whose ambition became fruitful for her family. It was her idea and efforts that our ‘carinderia’ was built. She learned to cook well which was why our small family diner was a success and well patronized. She handled money well allowing our family to pursue another business and opened up a grocery store.
It was all of her traits and qualities that helped build a foundation for her family; it was all these qualities and more that she was loved by so many. It’s how she will be remembered.
