Ramona (Glass) McGuern was born in Dallas, Texas, on January 24, 1928. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Southern California where she spent the remainder of her life. Ramona was a resident of Plymouth Village in Redlands, California at the time of her death.
Ramona had tremendous pride in her Cherokee Indian heritage and spent time traveling through South Dakota, Arkansas, and Oklahoma researching her family's history. She was a charter member of the National Museum of the American Indian and actively supported Red Cloud Indian School, the Cherokee Nation Education Corporation, the American Indian College Fund, and Oglala Lakota College.
Ramona was pre-deceased by her husband of 64 years, William, and is survived by her sons Rick and Russell, her daughter-in-law Pamela, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will take place at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Calimesa on October 22, 2025 at 11:00am.
