Rachel Evelyn Sotelo, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and cherished matriarch of her family, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on October 2, 1945, Rachel lived a life defined by strength, devotion, and an unwavering love for the generations who followed her.

Rachel was the proud mother of Lisa Sotelo, whom she loved dearly. Her legacy continued through her grandchildren—Melissa, Monique, Patricia, Rachelle, Andrea, and Elisa. Her family tree grew even fuller with 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought her immense joy because she loved visits from the babies.

As the matriarch of the Sotelo family, Rachel’s presence was powerful. She had a gift for being stubborn and demanding attention. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her lessons, her stubbornness, and her love in their hearts. Though she is no longer physically with them, her legacy will continue through her family for generations to come.
