Pattye Yvonne Luna

Pattye Yvonne Luna passed away October 28, 2023, at the age of 88 in Redlands, California. She was born July 3, 1935, in Steele, Missouri to Margaret Cheek Green and Odell H. Green.

She grew up in a military family, and she married her husband Ramon Luna in Junction City, Kansas. They eventually settled in California where they raised their four children in Los Angeles and Baldwin Park.

Pattye was a dedicated mother and homemaker for many years. When her children were grown, she began a ten-year career working for Automatic Data Processing. After retirement, she moved to Yucaipa to live closer to family. She enjoyed participating in senior community activities and was a volunteer at the Calimesa Senior Center.

By far, her greatest joy in life was her large family. She was a proud matriarch and will be remembered for her kindness and humor. She was a pioneer in many ways, and she shared much wisdom and love with her family.

Pattye was predeceased by her husband, Ramon Luna, son Mark Luna, and brother, Dick Green.

She is survived by her children: Terri Shoemaker of Calimesa, Eric Luna (Todd) of Pasadena, David Luna (Josie) of Yucaipa, and her sister, Jackye Hohman of Paris, Tennessee. Her beloved family includes eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

At Pattye’s request, no public services are planned. Pattye’s family continues to honor and celebrate her life by sharing treasured memories of this wonderful woman and our time together.
