Pamela Lynn Bokelman

June 30, 1966 — March 28, 2021

Pamela L. "Grammy Pammy" Bokelman, 54, of Yucaipa, CA went home to the Lord and to the arms of her mother on March 28th, 2021. She was born in Kenosha, WI on June 30, 1966 to Cheryl E. Laboda and Robert A. Bokelman Jr. She spent the first eight years of her life in the Badger state before moving to California with her parents and two younger siblings. There, she grew up on a quaint little cul-de-sac in Corona, CA and attended Corona High School. She married in 1983 and graduated in 1984, the same year she welcomed her daughter.

In her mid 20s, she began working in medical records for Prime Care Medical Group. Over her lifetime she had worked for various prestigious healthcare entities including Beaver Medical Group, Aurora Health Care, Mercy Medical Center, and Loma Linda University Medical Center (Most recent).

Pam will always be remembered for her vivacious spirit and extremely affectionate demeanor. She loved to cook and made sure her dishes were extra hearty; leaving no calorie unaccounted for. When she would cook with family and friends it would turn into a 80s flash back dance party of sorts with plenty of laughs. Pam was also an avid animal lover. Her pets meant the world to her and cat hair was in fact her "glitter". She loved taking yearly trips to Disneyland with her grandchildren and was totally enamored by their smiles and laughter.

Life without Pam will definitely not be the same for anyone that had the privilege of knowing her. She was an awesome mother; even more so, grandmother. She was a affectionate daughter and generous big sister. She was a boisterous and sassy aunt and she was the definition of a true and honest friend, sometimes a little too honest, but she always had the purest intentions at heart.

Pamela is preceded in death by her mother Cheryl E. Laboda of Racine, WI. She is survived by her father Robert A. Bokelman Jr. of Milwaukee, WI; daughter and son-in-law, Ashly and Christopher Garcia; son, Tim Richey; "Its Complicated" partner and friend, Phillip Richey; sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Frank Perry; brother and life partner, Paul Bokelman and Marie Umbay; niece and husband, Brittany and Steven Hoppa; nephew, Brandon Perry; and her grandchildren, Riley, Urijah, and Annalynn Garcia and newest addition, Kayden Richey; as well as her great nephews, Aiden Hoppa, and Benjamin & Gideon Perry AND we cant forget her animals; she is preceded in death by her beloved dogs Lady Bug and Trent and is survived by her cats, Bella Boo and Bree.

There will be two Celebration of Life services one in California and one in Wisconsin. The one in California is still being planned and we are trying our best to follow Covid guidelines.
