Born on September 16, 1961, in Riverside, California, she was a cherished daughter of Annie and Raul Pina, whose enduring love and guidance shaped the remarkable woman Monica became.

Monica's life was an embodiment of kindness, resilience, and devotion. She wore many hats—loving mother, doting grandmother, and cherished sister. She is survived by her beloved son Raymond Sagasta, and her daughter Alicia Sagasta-Vara, whose lives were forever enriched by her vibrant spirit and unwavering support. Monica took immense joy in the laughter and bond shared with her six grandsons, who filled her heart with boundless love and pride.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, she leaves behind four sisters and one brother, each of whom holds their own cherished memories of laughter and affection with Monica. They will treasure the moments spent together, remembering her infectious smile and warm embrace.
