Matthew David Morales

Matt Morales joined Christ in Paradise on February 3, 2021, surrounded by his family. Matt courageously fought a long battle with cancer beginning at age 6. He was a true warrior and confronted all stages of his illness head on. He adapted to all the changes in his life with courage and determination.
Matt was born in Riverside, CA. on September 27, 1988. He lived in Apple Valley, CA., until age 6. He resided in Redlands until until high school, when he moved to Murrieta and graduated from Murrieta Valley High School in 2007. He moved back to Redlands after high school. He graduated from the Art Institute of California with a BA in Media Art Animation in 2011. He was a current resident of Yucaipa. Inspite of all his hospitalizations and treatments, Matt graduated from both high school and college on time.
Matt was involved in the church as a child and teenager. He made several mission trips, including one to Mexico and another to the Philippines. The day before he passed away, he restated his faith in the Lord.
Matt was a talented artist, a lover of coffee, lizards, and nature. He was a witty and kind, compassionate man.
Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Miryam Morales, and Irwin H. Glos, Jr. He is survived by his grandmother, Janice R. Glos, of Oklahoma City, his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Brian Sutton, of Yucaipa, his father and stepmother, Richard and Ericka Morales, of Edmond, OK., his brother, Seth Sutton, of Yucaipa, his stepbrother, Eric Sutton, of Loma Linda, stepsisters Rochelle (Sutton) Ledbetter, of Exeter, Kierstyn (Sutton) Ratliff, of Murrieta, and Jazmyn (Sutton) Casterline, of AR. He is also survived one niece and four nephews.
A small immediate family only celebration of his life will be held.
