It is with a heavy heart and a deep sense of loss that the family of Matt Riley announces his passing on the 3rd of June, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on the 15th of January, 1974, in the city of Redlands, California. Matt was known for his classy demeanor, loving nature, kind heart, and sense of humor. His strength and dedication were evident both in his professional life and in his role as a family provider.
In 2011, with a spirit of entrepreneurship and service, Matt and Jill founded Citrus Valley Plumbing. The business was not only a reflection of his hard work and integrity but also his desire to provide for his beloved family and to offer honest, quality service to the community.
Matt's life was a living example of the values he held dear: he was a god-fearing man who loved his family and country, he had gratitude for each day, and a reverence for the natural world that he so loved to explore. He was a man who found the greatest joy in the laughter of his children and grandchildren, the peacefulness of a quiet fishing trip, and the warmth of family gatherings.
His interests outside of work reflected his love for life, his family, and nature. Matt loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing. His time spent playing with his grandsons and barbequing with family were among his favorite moments.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jill Riley; his daughters, Brittany, Alyssa, and Lindsey; and his treasured grandsons, Jacob, Alex, and Austin. Matt's memory will also be cherished by his sons-in-law, Andrew and Ben; his parents, Sandy and Dan; several brother in-laws, sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Preceding him in death were his in-laws, Joan and Dan Huff; his grandmothers, Rosalyn Roberts and Margaret Rose; additional family members Patty Foster (Aunt), Roy Foster (Uncle) and Tina Foster (Cousin). His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him.
John 3:16 states: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Matt Riley's life was a testament to the enduring values of family, hard work, and the simple, honest pleasures of life. His legacy will live on in the memories of those who loved him and the community he served so well.
