Mary Jane Vargas, 70, of Hesperia, California, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, at Loma Linda University Medical Center, surrounded by family. Born on December 17, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas, Mary Jane filled the world with warmth, laughter, and love.

Raised in San Antonio, she moved to Los Angeles at a young age and devoted her life to caregiving, touching countless hearts with her nurturing spirit. A faithful member of her church, Mary Jane cherished 2 Chronicles for its message of God’s faithfulness, worship, and hope. She loved playing cards with family and loving on her grandchildren—Jacob, Jared, Jalene, Elijah, Eliana, Alina, and Ezekiel—who were her world. Her sons, Danny, Derrek, and Joe, carry forward her legacy of resilience and kindness.

Mary Jane is survived by her sons, Danny, Derrek, and Joe; her grandchildren; and her sisters, Jackie, Dolores, Gladys, Gloria, Dora, and brother Jesse. She was predeceased by her parents, Consuelo Vargas and Jesse Vargas, and her sister Francis. A celebration of life will be held at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave, Redlands, CA 92373, on June 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to a church or charity in Mary Jane’s memory are welcomed.
