Mary M. Ortiz

Mary M. Ortiz, 73, passed away on April 23, 2009 in Redlands, California of cancer. Mrs. Ortiz was born on December 21, 1935 in Redlands and was a 1954 graduate of Redlands High School. She was employed by Redlands School District as a secretary for 31 years. She enjoyed spending her summers with her husband and son in "God's Country" at their cabin in Deer Creek, Utah. She was a loving, dedicated and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband John, whom she married on August 2, 1952; her daughters Linda Colvert (Jerry), Margie Tiger (Leonard), Rachel Stark (Ed); Son John Jr.; 11 grandchildren and 8 grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her daughter Eleanor (Ortiz) in 2001. Viewing will be at Emmerson Bartlett in Redlands on Tuesday April 28th from 4-7. The rosary will be held the same day at 7:00. The mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Olive street in Redlands on Wednesday April 29th at 11:00 Am, followed by a graveside service at Hillside Cemetery in Redlands.
