Mary Jo Owens

Mary Jo Owens was born on October 21, 1927 in Springfield, Missouri and passed away May 14, 2023. Mary Jo was a loving wife of William T. Owens for 61 years and who preceded her in death July 5, 2008. She was the mother of twin daughters, Jan Marie Potter and Jean Elizabeth Carlisle. Jan is the wife of George Brak Potter and Jean was married and divorced from Robert Carlisle before passing in January 2017.

In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Mary Jo also owned and operated Rialto Coins, a coin shop which flourished in Rialto, from the 1970’s until 1980’s.

She was a fount of information about the Inland Empire where she and Bill lived from the 1940’s until his death in 2008, first in Rialto and then in Redlands.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Farewell, Mary Jo
