Johnny William O’Neal transitioned from this Earth to Glory on Oct 15 2026.
He was a dedicated educator and never stopped learning himself. He loved to read and learn about new technologies since completing his Masters in Teaching and Bachelors in Technology. His specialties were mathematics and computers. His professional career started as a computer engineer in Orange County in the late 70s early 80s. He was usually a key player for any company he worked for, making companies like Univac (Unisys) and Philips excel in the industry with his genius. He was a member of Mensa and received multiple certifications and credentials like Associate and Assistant Professor. His later careers included teaching math at Green Valley High School in Yucaipa full-time and often taught classes part time at Cal-Baptist, Redlands University, Riverside Community College and Pierce college.
Family was incredibly important to Johnny. I doubt there is one person reading this who was not blessed by his generosity and support. He loved his family immensely and always did his best to take care of them. His other love in life were animals. Over the years he and Mary had far too many to count and they gave graciously to organizations who helped them.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lynne, his parents Barbara Crane and William O’Neal and his youngest sibling, Mary Cecelia (Cee Cee) Crane.
He leaves behind Sisters, Barbara Jean (Jeannie O’Neal), Peggy O’Neal, Brothers, Patrick O’Neal, Michael O’Neal, Neal O’Neal and Paul O’Neal. Nieces, Angela O’Neal-Omtvedt, Colleen O’Neal, Kimberly O’Neal, Penny Lane O’Neal-Sullivan, Jessica Orozco-Ventura, Kendall O’Neal, Mary Orozco, Breanna Orozco. Nephews, Sean-Paul O’Neal, Neal Patrick O’Neal, Daniel Fierro, Christopher O’Neal and numerous Grand Nieces and Nephews and many friends.
