Jack Lee Johnny Barker

Jackie L. Barker Sr. Known as "Johnny" went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
Born March 31, 1935 in Gordon, West Virginia to Florence Sites and Dennis B. Barker.
Johnny was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War.

He has 2 sons, Jack Barker Jr. of Florida and Dennis Barker of Pennsylvania. Grandchildren,
are Jimmy, Ashley, Dennis 3rd,Shannon,Donna,& Jackie and several great grandchildren.

He was raised by his grandparents in West Virginia. His grandpa was a preacher and passed away when Johnny was young. After his Grandma re-married Johnny had a special relationship with him as well. He worked in the coal mines as an electrician and Johnny worked alongside with him learning the electrician trade.

Johnny was very athletic played Football in high school, & basketball. He went to high school with Jerry West of the Lakers. He was a middleweight boxer. He liked playing baseball and golf. He was an avid runner well into retirement.
He loved playing and watching Sports.
He loved dancing and dating and gong to nightclubs and Las Vegas.
He loved traveling in his RV.

Johnny lived in Akron Ohio with his wife Joann and 2 sons while working for Alcoa Corp. as a tool and die maker. He later transferred to Los Angelus area and divorced.
He retired from Alcoa Corp. after many years.
He went back to work part time at ACE hardware in Fontana.
He was married to Tonia Bierman and divorced in 1991.

He then met the "love of his life", Joan, at the plantation on the Lakes in Calimesa. They had a home built in Belen New Mexico, to later return to Beaumont with their new home at Four Seasons in Beaumont. They were married for 15 years until her passing from breast cancer in 2019. They will be buried together at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Riverside, California
