Dean Papapetru, a Real Estate Broker and long-time resident of Redlands, Ca passed away unexpectedly on March 31st, 2022 at the age of 67 in Mentone, Ca. Dean is survived by his children; Wil and Roxann Papapetru; his former wife; DiAnna Tonello; his former Father in-law; Kjell Ekker; and his Mother; Despina Papapetru. He is predeceased by his brother; Greg Papapetru; his sister; Christina Jaskowiak; his father; William George Papapetru; and uncle Nick Karahalios.
Dean was born on March 29, 1955 to William George and Despina Papapetru. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Agricultural Economics and worked as a Real Estate Broker for over 40 years in Southern California. He married and remained longtime friends with his former partner DiAnna Tonello. He then welcomed his two beautiful children Wil and Roxann, who were the most important part of his life.
Dean was a devoted Father and outdoorsman. He frequently enjoyed hunting and fishing in; Big Bear, Ca; Milwaukee, WI; and the Boundary Waters of Canada with his son Wil. He often danced at Sammy G’s in Palm Springs, Ca and would sing to anyone who would listen. He was an avid golfer and called his signature form “the $20,000 swing” because that’s how many lessons it took to get there. He embodied a relentless dedication to every Real Estate venture and would not stop until the deal was done. His long list of notable commercial Real Estate accomplishments include; Legoland, Citrus Plaza, Pharaoh’s Lost Kingdom, and over thousands of acres of undeveloped land in Southern, Ca.
He was a fun loving and generous man who enjoyed coaching his children in various sports. He volunteered his time to “The Boys Home” formerly known as Inland Empire Residential for over 30 years. He will be deeply missed by is family, friends, and those who knew him.
