Christopher D. Long, 52 of Redlands, Ca passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 10, 2021. He is survived by his parents Ginny Zahm of Mentone, Ca and Charles and Pam Long of Montrose, Co. His sister Kim Campbell and brother Bryan (Shelby) Glass and several nieces, nephews and a great niece. Four daughters Deidre (Brent), Amber (Jeremy), Cherie, Tia (Dan) and 10 Grandchildren. His grandmothers Rev. Blanche Lewis and Bernice Long. He is also survived by his uncles David (Kathleen) Lewis and Wayne (Linda) Long, aunts Cheryl Long and Lisa Adams and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Rev. Roy Lewis and Cidon Long.
Chris attended schools in Mentone and Redlands before graduating from Hemet High in 1988. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for 5 years out of San Diego, Ca on the USS Long Beach.
He worked for the VA Hospitals in Loma Linda, Ca and Reno, NV for 13+ years and loved being of service to his fellow veterans. Chris was also a diehard San Francisco 49’ers fan.
Services will be held at Emmerson-Bartlett, Redlands on January 20th, 2022 at 11am (Viewing at 10:30am). Reception to follow at New Life Redlands church.
Burial at Riverside National Cemetery on January, 21st 2022 at 12pm.
