Bob D. Tansy, 86, from Yucaipa, passed away in his sleep on Sunday March 18, 2012, under the loving and passionate care of the staff at the Sunshine House in Calimesa. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, married 66 years; his son Bob L. Tansy of Arizona; a daughter Nancy & Paul Currie of Michigan. Other survivors include: 3 grand children that he called His Harem , Twila and her husband Chris Cole of Florida; Leah Currie of Wisconsin; Jana Dobson of Michigan & 2 great grand children Emily & Allen Dobson also of Michigan. He also survived by his brother Ted L. & wife Pat Tansy of Riverside. Bob is a Veteran and served during WWII in the US Army. He was a professional Truck Driver for 48 years; his last employer was Dalton Trucking and Bob was known to his co-workers as One Can . He was also a member in good standing of the Turtle Club . Bob enjoyed being involved with the Yucaipa Gun Club for many years as an instructor as well as a life time member of the NRA and a Certified Marksman and Sharpshooter. He also was a member of the Past Pleasures Car Club of Yucaipa. Bob enjoyed riding his motorcycle and meeting all his buddies at the local donut shop for coffee, donuts and good company. Bob never met a stranger and always left the people he knew with a huge belly laugh. Bob Tansy will be missed by many folks in Yucaipa. He would want us to live with all the funny and wonderful memories we have experienced. Interment will be held privately at Riverside National Cemetery.
