With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Arina Marie
Menard, who was born on December 18, 1963, and passed away on June 30, 2026.
Arina was a strong, independent, and deeply loved woman who lived life on her own terms.
Those who knew her knew that once she made up her mind, there was very little anyone
could do to change it. While her stubbornness could be challenging at times, it was also a
reflection of her strength, resilience, and determination.
Her faith in God was at the center of her life and the foundation of her strength. She loved
God deeply, and her faith carried her through many seasons of life. It was a part of who she
was and something she held close to her heart.
Arina found beauty in the simple things. She especially loved the color purple,
hummingbirds, writing, and singing. Those small joys brought her peace and happiness and
will forever remind her family of her spirit.
More than anything, Arina wanted to be a mother. Even through life’s challenges, she
shared a special relationship with each of her children and loved them deeply. She was
also a proud grandmother, and her 15 grandchildren brought her immense joy. She loved
and adored each of them deeply.
Arina was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Menard; her mother, Linda Tercero; her
stepfather, Thomas Tercero; her sister, Laura Tercero; and her brother, Tommy Tercero.
She is survived by her partner and best friend, Brian Lanaghan; her children, Vanessa (Ed) Ireton,
Amber (Carlos) Otero, Nicole Garrison, and Daniel Garrison; her sister, Tracy Tercero; her
cousin, Rochelle Gallo; her 15 grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and
Friends who became family.
Arina’s life was not always easy, but she faced it with a fierce determination that defined
who she was. Though our hearts ache with her passing, we take comfort in knowing how
deeply she was loved and in the memories, lessons, and love she leaves behind with her
family.
As we grieve her loss, we remember Arina for the faith, strength, and love that shaped her
life, as well as the laughter and unique spirit that made her who she was. May we honor her
by carrying forward the resilience and love she showed, and by holding close the memories
that can never be taken away.
Arina will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
