(ENGLISH VERSION)

Our mother Alicia was born September 03, 1945 in Ameca, Jalisco Mexico to Agustina Gomez, and Ismael Ascencio. She was raised with (6 sisters and 6 brothers) in Tijuana Baja California. Ufemia, Christobal, Juan, Aurora, Ismael (Jr.), Eva, Cecilia, Benjamin, Agustin, Nicholas and Lupe. She came to the United States at the age of 17 to help her parents in Tijuana. She began dating Cesario Zuniga (whom she known since childhood). They got married on July 06, 1968. She was a mother of 5; Martha, Isabel, Gilberto, Yvonne and Yesenia. Grandmother of 11; Josue, Cesar, Micaela, Jose, Leonardo, Gilbert Jr., Precious, Athena, Ariel, Alycia and Merida. She began to study the Bible in 1972 and made her dedication to Jehovah in 1973.

One of her favorite pastimes was to enjoy the fresh air and take drives to admire the scenery, whether it was the beach, mountains, vintage houses in old towns, or anywhere else, even if it meant getting lost (as she would often say!). She had a passion for crocheting and solving crossword puzzles. Her favorite team was the LA Dodgers. She enjoyed watching You Tube videos featuring an elderly woman preparing various dishes in her beautiful garden. Every morning, our mother would read her Bible while having breakfast, which included her coffee and scrambled eggs. She also cherished calling and chatting with her siblings.

Our mother was a homemaker ever since her first daughter was born. She was a devoted, caring, passionate, and humble wife and mother. Her faithfulness to Jehovah God served a powerful example for us, encouraging us to persevere and have faith in ourselves. Through her attentive nature, she showed her love to our family.
