Alice L. Warburton, 92, of Yucaipa, Ca., passed away peacefully after a long term illness on 24 January, 2019.
Alice was a dedicated federal employee that retired from the accounting and finance division after 21 years of service; Norton Air Force Base, San Bernardino, Ca.
As a young girl, Alice and her sisters entertained at the Veteran’s home in Danville, IL. They would sing and dance; play musical instruments; recite poems and tell stories and perform skits. As an adult, Alice loved going to the local casinos to play Bingo and work the slot machines; telling a good joke and making new friends. She made friends very easily and would talk to just about anyone.
Alice was preceded in death by husband, Eugene Warburton; son, Michael Warburton; mother, Bernice Marshall; sisters, Maxine Branigan, Ada Sheets, and Betty Marshall.
Alice is survived by her daughter Jeanne and son – in – law, Dick Brashear, of San Antonio, Tx.; daughter Karen Allen, of Moreno Valley, Ca.; son, John Warburton and daughter – in – law, Sandy, of Apple Valley, Ca.; and daughter – in – law, Susan Warburton, of Florida; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on 12 February 2019, at 10:31 am.
