William Bill Francis Palluth born April 18, 1931 in Chicago, IL went to be with His Lord on November 5, 2011. He lived in Yucaipa for 38 years. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1953 as an aeronautical engineer and served in the U.S. Air Force. Bill has been a flier, engineer, photographer, program manager, author and an artist. He wrote four books on painting for Walter Foster Publishing, and made six videos on oil painting for Holiday Films. Almost a million copies of his books have been sold so far. Bill's landscapes are very restful and show the magnificence of God's handiwork. The viewver visually wants to walk into his paintings to see what is hidden around the corners. His paintings of the old sailing ships are more dramatic as a ship races an approaching storm or battles monstrous waves. Bill's work is in collections in several European countries, as well as two museums and the collection of the late President Gerald Ford. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Palluth and three children; Steven Palluth (Debbie), Patti Usler, and Janet Darby (Derek), as well as four grandchildren, Sarah Ferons, Christine Palluth, Jennifer Palluth, and Kelly Palluth; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Pat Sandor. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Yucaipa Christian Church, 12954 Bryant St., Yucaipa, CA.
