Veronika Ursula Long

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful, beloved mommy, Veronika Ursula Long on February 3, 2023 at the age of 86. She was born on April 15, 1936 in Hanau, Germany to Wilhelm & Ottilie Wahl. She had one son and 5 daughters.  She immigrated to the United States with Allen Ashton, father of her five beautiful daughters on February 13, 1962. She settled in California & resided in San Bernardino County for 40 years. She moved to Utah with her late husband, Gunther Heinz Pfutzenrueter, where they spent 20 years together. She recently landed back in Southern California where she spent her last 11 months. Her life was filled with many triumphs and trials, and was a survivor of WWll. She worked as a single mother waitressing at Griswalds for many years supporting her children. She loved cooking, reading, gardening, traveling, music, dancing, & swimming. She spent many days enjoying the sandy beaches of So. California. She was our rock and our lives will be forever changed until we meet her again in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Long, her daughter Tina Ashton, her only son, Hans Peter Wahl, her brother Manfried Wahl, & her late husband Gunther Pfutzenreuter. She is survived by her four daughters, Joni Kincer of Ontario, California; Gloria Ramsey of Las Vegas, Nevada; Laura (Daniel) Miller of Hurricane, Utah; Eva (Darren) Reader of Rancho Cucamonga, California. Step-daughter Sandra(Bob)Gunther of Orange, California; brother Peter(Hildrude)Wahl of Edison, New Jersey. Also 12 precious grandchildren, Angela, Stephen, Kristina, Eli, Lisa, Brandi, Morgan, Amanda, Andrea, Dustin, Audrey, Dylan & 9 great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, February 13th, 2023 at Transformation Calvary 10700 Town Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California 91730

Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel of Redlands will be assisting with memorial services.
