Verner E. Sjorgren

Verner E Sjogren, 92, passed away on March 10, 2012 in Redlands, California. Verner was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 5, 1919 to Oscar and Alfreda. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pearl. His children Steven Sjogren and Kristy Parr. He is also survived by his brother Stan. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Eunice Briley. He is also survived by his grandchildren Morgan, Carly and Andrew. Verner worked for Lockhead as an experimental mechanic and crew chief. He was in WWII and was an Xray technician and was discharged in 1946 as a Staff Sergeant - Surgeon General's Office. He worked for Sears as 1 of 75 TV repairmen in Southern California and Chevron Research as a supervisor/technician for the computer department. He was a member of Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton and Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Redlands. After retirement he began as a volunteer on missionary trips with Wycliffe Associates. He also served on their board of directors. He loved to travel and although we will miss him dearly - we know he is happily traveling on. A Memorial Service will be held Friday March 16th at 10:00 AM at Plymouth Village. In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to Wycliffe Associate Ministries PO Box 620143, Orlando, Fl 32862.
