Troy Shewmaker Cansler

Troy Shewmaker Cansler, 47 of Yucaipa, California earned his angels wings on April 27, 2014 as he stepped in to protect a mother and her child from a vicious attacker and was fatally wounded as a result. He was born at Redlands Community Hospital January 21st, 1967 to Kandie Barnett Shewmaker and Sonny Shewmaker. Troy s given name was Ambers O Neil Shewmaker IV but he always went by his nickname of Troy. During his life he worked as a tile setter, roofer and in general construction but he mainly worked as a high rise iron worker. He loved the outdoors, rock hunting and especially taking his dredge out to pan gold. He attended elementary & Junior High School in Redlands and High School in Yucaipa in the class of 1985. He leaves behind his wife Autum and daughter Jordyn of Yucaipa, Mother-in-law Marna Shelton of Yucaipa, Parents Kandie & Jim Cansler of Oak Glen, Sister Tammy Crise (Dan) of Yucaipa, Brother Jamie Cansler (Teresa) of Yucaipa, Brother Tyler Cansler of Sherman Texas, Uncle Chuck Shewmaker (Bev) of Homeland, Aunts, Uncles and many many nieces & nephews. Arrangements are in the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Yucaipa. Funeral Services are Saturday May 10th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis X Cabrini Catholic Church, 12687 California St., Yucaipa. Interment at 11:00 a.m. Monday May 12th at Hillside Memorial Park, 1540 Alessandro Rd., Redlands, CA.
