Robert Lee Evans

Robert “Bob” Lee Evans died on Mon. Dec. 31, 2018, at Loma Linda University Hospital after a long illness surrounded by his family.                                                                                                                                                                            He was born in Greenville, South Carolina to C.O. and Ossie Lee Evans and the middle child of 3.                The family moved to Riverside, California when Bob was 10 years old.  After he graduated from Rubidoux High School he joined the Air Force and served for 4 years earning his trade in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.  Bob eventually moved to Redlands where he was a long time employee of Burgeson’s Heating and Air with 35 + years.  Bob was also an active member of the Redlands Noon Kiwanis serving his community since 1994. Bob was preceded in death by his father C.O. mother Ossie Lee and sister Jean. He leaves his beloved wife Dinah of 35 years, daughter Kinsey, son Robby, daughter-in-law Tanya and    grandchildren Jake, Cole, Peyton and Kade; brother Roger,sister-in-law Paula and several nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.  Bob was passionate about his children, grandchildren, Kiwanis, working at Burgesons and the LA Dodgers.  He enjoyed golfing, telling jokes, A La Minute chocolate chip ice-cream, chocolate shakes, and making his wife sneak in popsicles during his hospital stays.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Riverside National Cemetery,   22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518
Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Redlands Adventist Church Fellowship Hall, 520 Brookside Ave, Redlands, CA  92373                           
Memorial gifts in Robert Evans’ memory can be made to the Kiwanis Scholarship Foundation.
