Paul Richard Jorstad

PAUL RICHARD JORSTAD, 78, a resident of Calimesa for 3 years, formerly of Yucaipa for 40 years, passed away on March 13, 2009, at home, due to congestive heart failure. He was born on July 25, 1930, in Kenyon, MN. Paul received his B.S. from St. Olaf College and Master's of Divinity from Luther Seminary. Served as Pastor at Grace Lutheran Church Palo Alto from 1958-1960, at Good Shepherd in Salinas from 1960-1966, and at Faith Lutheran in Yucaipa from 1966-1993. He is survived by his wife, Jo Botts; son, David Jorstad (Cindy) of Escondido, CA; daughter, K aren Jorstad (Bob) of Minneapolis, MN; 4 grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Fosteson of Wisconsin; brothers, Donald Jorstad of Moorpark, CA, and Robert Jorstad of Arizona. Visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2009, 2:00 P.M. with Funeral Service at 2:30 P.M., both at Faith Lutheran Church, 12449 California St., Yucaipa. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Solvang, California. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Yucaipa.
