Mary Colena Backus

The world lost a beautiful woman on August 12, 2015 with the sudden passing of Mary Colena Backus at the young age of 72. Born a definitive Scorpio on the 8th of November, 1942 to parents Vergie Eugenia Rodgers and Willie Bliss McGee at San Bernardino County Hospital. After graduating Redlands Senior High School in 1960, she exchanged wedding vows on February 8, 1963 with Ernest William Backus, who preceded her in death in 1990. Mary is survived by their daughter, his "Gopher", her "Only Sunshine" and "Baby Girl", Karen Leigh Backus, who would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all family and friends who have offered support and love throughout the years. You made a huge difference in our lives and are truly appreciated.
