Marie Catherine Mccalmon

Marie Catherine McCalmon, passed away on Saturday June 16, 2011 at the age of 93. Marie was predeceased by her husband Hugh "Mac" McCalmon. Marie is survived by her four children William A. McCalmon of Redlands, Kathleen M. McCalmon of Victorville, John H. McCalmon of Lodi and Thomas M. McCalmon of San Diego; four grand-children, Erin M. Bosman of San Diego, Michael T. McCalmon of Japan, Amy Reeves of Phoenix, AZ; and David McCalmon of Lodi; and six great- grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church in San Bernardino and Holy Name of Jesus in Redlands. Marie was born in the Bronx, NY and spent her youth in Oak Park, near Chicago, IL. In late 1947 she and her family moved from the Chicago area to the San Bernardino Valley. For more than 36 years she worked as a clerk and manager for Gales Rexall Drugs in San Bernardino. In 2003 she sold her home in San Bernardino and moved to Casa de La Vista in Redlands. Marie was a 63 year resident of San Bernardino and Redlands. Marie loved the Dodgers, Frank Sinatra, Vin Scully, English TV programs, Indian Casinos and Scones (no icing!). Wednesday and Thursday was bingo day at Casa de La Vista and Fern Lodge. She was proud of the fact that California just renewed her driver's license for five years. Services will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel located at 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, CA on Friday June 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM.
