Margil Reye Flores (BOB) A life long resident of San Bernardino County passed away quietly in the home he built on January 4, 2011 in Redlands, CA with his daughter and her husband at his side. He was born to Jesus and Antonia Reyes Flores of San Bernardino on February 26, 1924. He was a veteran of WWII where he served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1945. He was a radioman/gunner on a SBD Dauntless bomber and participated in many actions aboard the USS Saratoga in the South Pacific. He was a resident of Redlands for over 67 years and a member of the Carpenter Local #944 Union. He was past Commander of Mamolejo Post 650. He worked in construction for over 35 years as a master carpenter and retired to work part-time with the Redlands Unified School District. He retired from RUSD after 10 years. He was an inspiration to all and his loss will be keenly felt by those who had the privilege of knowing him and he will forever live in our hearts. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary & Manuel Reynosa of East Highland Ranch. His grandson, Dr. M. Stephen Reynosa and his great-grandchildren Megan, Tessa, & Jackson of Ventura, CA. His granddaughter Lisa West (Mike) and their children, Katie & Lexie of Walnut, CA. A brother, Joe Flores (Helen) of San Bernardino, a sister Jessie Samaro of San Bernardino and sister Lena Mora (Albert) of Clovis, CA and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a wife, a son, and 2 daughters. He had 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Immediate family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of his life at 10:00 A.M. on Tueday, January 25, 2011 at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands, CA. Graveside services will be private.
