Lewis Daniel Vance II (21 October 1944-1 June 2023)

Lewis Daniel “Dan or Danny” Vance II passed on from this world on June 1, 2023, in Yucaipa, California. He came into this world on October 21, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Lewis D. Vance and Mary “Molly” Vance, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Greg Vance; his sister, Valerie Vance; his nephews Justin Austin and David Austin; his beloved grand niece, Alice; and grand-nephews Brandon, Devyn, Trenton, Cameron and Camden.

Danny visited several of his first cousins during his many road trips, including numerous friends on his itinerary. He oftentimes rode his Harley-Davidson motorcycle during these long journeys. He was also the proud owner of a succession of impeccably maintained motorcycles and Ford Mustangs.

Dan shared a particularly close friendship with his first cousin Jeff Cooper, who preceded Dan in death. He is also missed by his long-time, loyal friend, Retta.

All those who responded to the news of his passing said that he had a kind, generous and loving heart. He was always ready to help those around him. He had a wonderful sense of humor, which would give way to laughter from all those around him. He will be forever missed and forever loved.

Several private memorials are planned with family, a number of whom reside in far-flung areas of the country.
