Katherine Irene Mckee

Katherine Irene McKee passed away June 30, 2013 at the age of 64. She was born October 11, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa, to William and Pearl McKee. Katherine lived in many countries with her military father and family. They then moved and eventually settled in Redlands. Katherine graduated from Redlands High School. She went on to attend Riverside City College. She graduated with a degree in nursing in Los Angeles. She took pride in her nursing care, her friends and her family. She cared for all her patients just as if they were her family. Katherine devoted her life to helping others in any way she could. She volunteered as a Pin Striper at Redlands Community Hospital. She wrote a medical manual and taught many classes on medicine to Redlands students. She also loved animals, particularly dogs & horses. After her published book on Home Health Care, she continued in that profession until her passing. Katherine is survived by her mother, Pearl McKee Barr; sister, Sandra Merdith; brother, Bill McKee and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11:00am at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, CA.
