Joy Rene Oliver

Joy Rene Oliver was born into this world on July 19, 1955 in Southern California. Joy was the oldest of four children (Theresa, Kevin, Jeff). In 1973 she graduated from Sierra high school in Whittier. At the age of 19 she married and had two wonderful children (David and Christina). Joy worked for the California Department of Corrections, at the Norco facility, in the medical office doing transcription and clerical work. On November 21, 1987, Joy married the love of her life, Jerry. Together they embarked on their life-long journey of love and raising a family of five children together. Joy loved social events, playing bingo and especially bowling, belonging to many leagues and associations. Joy was a proud grandma to 11 grandchildren whom she loved immensely. She passed away on July 9th 2015 at her home in Grand Terrace. Joy is preceded in death by her husband, mother, father and brother. Joy is survived and will be missed by her five children Tina Lafond, Tami Boardman (Ken), David Morrison (Laurie), Steven Oliver (Sonia) and Christina Morrison (Jeff) - All eleven grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, her sister Theresa, brother Jeff, and many friends. Services will be held 11 AM Friday July 31st at Emerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel located at 703 Brookside Ave Redlands, CA 92373
