John Z. Montecino

John Z. Montecino of Redlands, California, formerly of San Bernardino, California passed away on June 12th, 2013. He will be missed by friends and family in particular his wife, Rachael Montecino, son John R. Montecino, granddaughter Jennifer Rae Montecino and Daughter in Law, Rui Montecino. John was born in Asherton, Texas in November of 1928. At the age of 11 he and the family moved to Bakersfield, Ca and later settled in San Bernardino. John was a veteran of the Korean War, via the United States Army and served in Alaska. John was also a 45 year veteran of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad as a driver of his beloved 18 wheeler. John was also a former member of Elks Lodge 836 in San Bernardino, California. Services will be held at Friday June 21, 2013, 10:00am at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands with interment following at 12:30pm at Riverside National Cemetery.
