Jeronimo “Jero” Saucedo
1948 ~ 2021

After a short battle with lung cancer, Jeronimo Saucedo passed away in West Covina, California on Friday, October 29, 2021. Jeronimo was born in Huanimaro, Guanajuato, Mexico on January 31, 1948 to Jose Saucedo and Juana Zavala. The majority of his childhood and adolescence was spent in Huanimaro, Guanajuato, Mexico.

Jeronimo had a successful 35 year career in the aluminum industry, serving in many capacities, until his retirement. Following his retirement, Jeronimo started his own real estate business and was very instrumental in the community and he helped many families purchase their first homes.

During his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling to different swap meets in the area, where he met a lot of friendly people. He was always on the lookout for a good bargain and some good electronics.

Jeronimo is preceded in death by is daughter, Laura Elizabeth Saucedo, who passed away on December 17, 2017.
Jeronimo is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ramona Elva “Monche” Saucedo and his son, Anthony Saucedo, sisters, Josefina Saucedo and Anna Saucedo of Huanimaro, Guanajuato, Mexico, brother, Miguel Saucedo also of Huanimaro, Guanajuato, Mexico; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank friends and family for their support and kindness during this time, and the doctors and nurses at Queen of the Valley Hospital for their exceptional care.

Jeronimo’s work ethic and industriousness was remarkable. He had a great curiosity and desire for learning, whether from reading, conversation, or exploration. He will forever be remembered as the strong and quiet man he was.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 19th, 2021 at 10:00am at Nativity Catholic Church, 3743 Tyler Avenue, El Monte, CA 91731
