Janet Louise Smith

Janet Louise Smith, 70, of Yucaipa, California, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023. She was born February 14, 1953 to Everett and Nadine Conrad in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Janet was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her husband Tim Smith; her five children, Rhonda Peters, Gary Smith, Rob Smith, Nichole Averett, and Steven Smith; her twelve grandchildren; Brendan, Brooklyn, Tyler, and Logan Peters; Austin, Mikensi, Koen, and Calli Smith; Koa, Beckham, Scout, and Remi Averett; her sister Carolyn Bateman, and her two brothers Jim and Bill Conrad.

Janet grew up in Gooding, Idaho. She graduated from Gooding High School in 1971 and attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho where she met and fell in love with her husband Tim. The two were married in 1974 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. The couple settled in Rancho Cucamonga, California in 1986, where they raised their five children, moving to Yucaipa, California in 2018.

Janet was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25th at 4:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel, 12776 6th St, Yucaipa, CA 92399.
