James R. Early

James R. Early, age 83, died 12/26/2014 from complications of pancreatic cancer. Jim was born on June 3, 1931 in Colt, Arkansas the oldest of four children. As a teenager he worked in the peach orchards which were managed by his father. He spent most of his adult life in Torrance, California where he was employed by Allied-Signal for approximately 40 years as a manufacturing engineer working on various projects, including the space shuttle. Jim spent most of the last 12 years landscaping, fixing and remodeling our home and assisting our friends and neighbors.
He is predeceased in death by his first wife Florence K. Early and brother Bobby Early. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ruthellen; his three sons Steve, Mark and Craig; seven grandchildren, Eric, Leslie, Jennifer, Cameron, Liam, Kaitlynn and Evalynn; five great grandchildren Lacie, Ethan, Brody, Jackson and Chase; and two sisters Delores Thweatt of Arkansas and Nadine Swanson of Tennessee.
He was a devoted, loving husband, father and grandfather - he will be missed by all.
Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday January the 2nd of 2015 at Hillside Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 1540 Alessandro Road, Redlands, CA 92373.
