Irma Leiva Mazariegos

May 7, 1950 — August 31, 2021

On August 31, 2021, Irma Leiva Mazariegos, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend went on to be with her Lord and Savior. She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Elena Leiva and is survived by her husband and best friend, Luis Federico Mazariegos, her sister Sarita Leiva, her son Giovanni and wife Delia Mazariegos, her daughter Nardy Mazariegos Creekbaum, her daughter Leslie and husband Fred Roche, grandchildren Joshua Mazariegos (22), Freddy and Noah Roche (8 and 5) and several nieces and nephews.

Irma was born in Jutiapa, Guatemala on May 7th, 1950. She came to the United States in 1982 and spent most of her life living in Southern California where she raised a wonderful family and kept a faithful and happy home. Irma was a beautiful and caring woman. She cared and loved like no other, her willingness to help and to be of service was her hallmark. She loved to cook, to garden and more than anything to spend time with her family. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and watching her grandchildren play. Irma’s smile was contagious. When you’d see her smile, it would stay with you forever and now it is everlasting as she smiles down from heaven.

Viewing will be held at Emerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel at 703 Brookside Ave, Redlands, CA 92373 on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Montecito Memorial Park at 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324 on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. The time is still TBD. Immediately following, a lunch will be served at Giovanni and Delia Mazariegos’ house.

El 31 de agosto de 2021 Irma Leiva Mazariegos, amada esposa, madre, hermana, abuela y amiga pasó a estar con su Señor y Salvador. Le anteceden en la muerte sus padres Manuel y Elena Leiva y le sobreviven su esposo y mejor amigo, Luis Federico Mazariegos, su hermana Sarita Leiva, su hijo Giovanni y su esposa Delia Mazariegos, su hija Nardy Mazariegos Creekbaum, su hija Leslie y su esposo. Fred Roche, nietos Joshua Mazariegos (22), Freddy y Noah Roche (8 y 5) y varias sobrinas y sobrinos.

Irma nació en Jutiapa, Guatemala el 7 de mayo de 1950. Llegó a los Estados Unidos en 1982 y pasó la mayor parte de su vida viviendo en el sur de California, donde crió una familia maravillosa y mantuvo un hogar fiel y feliz. Irma era una mujer hermosa y cariñosa. Ella se preocupaba y amaba como ninguna otra persona, su voluntad de ayudar y estar al servicio era su sello distintivo. Le encantaba cocinar, trabajar en el jardín y más que nada pasar tiempo con su familia. Su mayor alegría era ser abuela y ver jugar a sus nietos. La sonrisa de Irma fue contagiosa. Cuando la vieras sonreír, se quedará contigo para siempre y ahora es eterna mientras ella sonríe desde el cielo.
