Irene Bachiu

Irene Bachiu, died of cancer at the age of 78, on April 3, 2009. She died at home surrounded by family. She was born April 29, 1930 in Regina Saskatchewan Canada. While in Canada, she worked for United Appeal (similar to United Way) until moving with her family to California in 1962. She worked as an executive assistant for Shell Oil Company for 20 yrs. and was also a partner in the family business, Redlands Blueprint & Commercial Printing Co. She is survived by husband, Pete Bachiu, daughters; Erin Beringson and Daney Bachiu, grandchildren; Joe Shelton and Jason Swantek, great-granddaughter Ashley Shelton, brother, Frank Kleso, Sisters-in-law; Shirley McDonald, Lou Dae, & Mary Bachiu, brothers and sisters-in-law; George and Irene Bachiu, George and Sandra Gottfried, Geoff and Mary Payne and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., April 17, 2009 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Redlands.
