Grace - Roque

Grace Roque died May 1, 2022 at the age of 88 in Redlands, Ca. She attended Lincoln Elementary School, Redlands Jr. High, and graduated from Redlands High School all in Redlands, Ca.

She taught cosmetology for 29 years. The first 15 years were in Redlands, Ca at Phyllis Adair School of Beauty. Her last 14 years she taught cosmetology at Riverside City College in Riverside, Ca. She was active at St. Mary's Catholic Church teaching religious education and for many years, she sang in the Choir. She also sang in both an English and Spanish choir at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Redlands, Ca.

In her later years, she played the Ukulele at both the senior center on Washington St. in Redlands and the senior center in Loma Linda, Ca.

Grace had a joy for life and sang whether at church, while playing her ukulele, or at home for herself or family.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Roque, her parents Fermin and Juana Garcia, two brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by her two daughters, her granddaughter and two grandsons, and her great granddaughter and great grandson, four sisters, and two brothers.
