GLENN ELBERT HUSTON AND VIRGINIA WEST HUSTON The families of Virginia and Glenn Huston regret to announce that Glenn passed away peacefully on December 6, 2009 at his residence in Mission Commons, Redlands, California. Shortly thereafter, Virginia was hospitalized after a fall, then transferred to Assistencia Villa, Redlands where she passed away on May 2, 2010. Married for 16 years, Glenn and Virginia enjoyed their later years together at their residence in Redlands. They greatly enjoyed their trips to the Mid-west and East Coast to visit family and friends. In 2003 they moved to Mission Commons where they enjoyed frequent visits of friends and relatives. Born September 5, 1911 in Indiana, Virginia was the daughter of Ezra and Ada West of Colton, CA. She graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1927. She lived and worked in the Colton area until her marriage to Epes Randolph when she moved to Indio, CA. They had one son, Robert E. Randolph (deceased). After divorcing Epes, Virginia married Carl Hall of Indio, then moved to Reche Canyon to live with Robert and Melinda Randolph and grandsons, Andrew and Matthew. After Robert died in 1990, Virginia moved to Redlands and met Glenn Huston whom she married in July of 1993. Virginia is survived by her daughter-in-law, Melinda (Randolph) Latendresse; two grandsons, Andrew (Michelle) and Matthew (Amy); four grandchildren, Palmer, Morgan, Caroline, and Carmel; a niece, Kendra West Taylor; and a nephew, Ron West of Bull Head City, AZ. Glenn Huston was born January 2, 1922 in Newton, Kansas, the son of Zaida and Harry Boone Huston. Glenn graduated from Newton High School in 1941 then served in the US Navy during World War II. After the war, he became an engineer on the Southern Pacific Railroad, spending most of his adult life in Redlands. Glenn is survived by his two step- grandsons, Andrew and Matthew; his nephew, Russell Huston; his sister-in-law LaVon Huston; and several great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Glenn and Virginia will be held at the Chapel at Edwards Mansion on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 2 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend a reception in the Greenhouse at the Mansion immediately following the service.
