Glenda Evelyn Puummer Baumann

Glenda Evelyn Plummer Baumann, 86, passed away October 23, 2009, at Plymouth Village in Redlands, where she had lived for the past 4 years. She was born September 24, 1923 in Hontubby, Oklahoma. Her family moved several times between Arkansas, where they lived, and California, finally settling in Redlands. She attended lementary, Jr. High and high school in Redlands, graduating in 1941. In 1943, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Baumann. She lived in Oak Glen, on their apple ranch for the next 60 plus years, where they raised their four children. Paul passed away in 1993. Glenda served in many capacities in the United Methodist Church of Yucaipa, of which she was a member for the last 63 years. She was also active in United Methodist Woman, evening section of The Woman's Club, where she had been a member since 1953 and the Historical Society. Glenda was an excellent seamstress and loved to cook. She was well known for her delicious apple pies. She is survived by her four children, Beverly Baumann of Long Beach, Marian Baumann and partner Chris Nielsen of Calimesa, Nick Baumann and wife Lois of Cherry Valley and Anita Flores and husband Paul of Yucaipa, she had 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Graveside services for family and friends will be held at 10-:00am Friday October 30th, at Desert Lawn Cemetery in Calimesa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Glenda's memory to any local charities. Family under the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Yucaipa.
