Gladys Mary Petrillo

Gladys Mary Petrillo was called to the Lord on May 22, 2018.  She passed away peacefully  surrounded by her family at her home in Mira Loma. She was 82 years old.  Gladys was born on April 23, 1936 in Brooklyn New York to Earl and Mary Whittaker she was one of twelve children. 
Gladys will be greatly missed  by her surviving children Michael Scafiddi (Darlene) of Redlands, Anthony Scafiddi of Brooklyn, John Scafiddi of Brooklyn, Caroline Maring (Russell)of Brooklyn , Marie D’Angelo of Brooklyn , Gina Petrillo  of Brooklyn, as well as her 20 grandchildren John, Michael (Julie), Megan (Phil), Joseph, Valerie, Nicholas (Kristen), Vincent, Anthony, John,  Alyssa, Pete, John Jr., Angela, Nicole, JoeJoe , Chloe, Jillian, Jordana, Angelina, Francesca, and her three great-granddaughters Ava Sophia, Katerina aka Kate Kate, and Emilia. Gladys is predeceased by her husband’s Antonio Scafiddi and  John Petrillo,  her son Joseph Petrillo as well as her brothers John, Joseph Henry ,George  and her sister Jane.
Gladys was a homemaker and avid card player and dealer. She loved to dance. She had a smile that could light up  a room.  She was devoted to her family.  She had a keen wit and was always funny and fun to be around she kept everyone laughing . She lived most of her life in Brooklyn New York, and she moved to California in 2005 for the warmer climate and to be near her son and her siblings.  
She will be interred on July 2, 2018  at Ocean View cemetery in Staten Island, New York with her husband John and her son Joseph.
