Gilbert Rangel

Gilbert Rangel, age 92, of Calimesa, California, peacefully passed away Monday, June 23, 2014. He was born on September 1, 1921 in Santa Ana, California. Gilbert was the beloved husband of his one and only love of 64 years, the late Delores Rangel; Father of Anita Myers, the late Gilbert Rangel Jr, Rita Calderilla, and Cynthia Sherman. He was the beloved son of Maria Teresa de Jesus Esther Aguirre and Rito Rangel; Doting Grandfather to Craig, Tami, JoAnn, Lisa, Andrea, Robert, Matthew and Nicholas and the loving Great-Grandfather to 26 grandchildren plus 1 Great, Great-Granddaughter. Gilbert is survived by his sisters Concha Salmeron, Estella Trujillo and brother Raymond Rangel. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son and his sisters Elisa Basquez and Angelina Guzman. Gilbert was a 60-year member of local 944 Carpenter s Union. The viewing and memorial service to honor Gilbert s life will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial which is located at 703 Brookside Ave. Redlands, CA 92374, reception to follow.
