Eleanor E. Forhan

Eleanor E. Forhan 09/27/1922 - 01/02/2012 Our dear Mother, Grandmother, and friend continued her journey home on January 02, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was at peace at home in Highland surrounded by family. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and married Murray Patrick Forhan on June 27, 1944. She was preceded in death by her husband Pat in January, 1980. They raised their family in Michigan until relocating to California in 1967. She was an active and energetic volunteer, giving her time to the Altar Society, St. Jude Hospital Auxiliary in Fullerton, Redlands Community Hospital Auxiliary where she is a Past-President and recipient of the Kimberly Shirk Volunteer of the Year award, Past President of San Bernardino Emblem #178 where she served two terms and held many offices. Her service spanned over 30 years and in excess of 30,000 hours. She leaves behind two sons, and two daughters; Paul Forhan of El Paso, Texas, Tim Forhan of Loveland, Colorado, Kathy Ouillette of Highland, CA and Maureen Wells of Yorba Linda, CA. She had 9 grandchildren; Brian, Craig, Lisa, Christen, Derek, Carl, Carrie, Greg, and Erin, and 15 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands, CA on Saturday, January 07, 2012 at 4:00 pm. Private interment will be attended by family only at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to The American Cancer Society.
