Donald Francis Brown

Donald Francis Brown, 91, of Redlands passed away the evening of January 21, 2019 at the VA hospital after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Alice, daughter, Joyce, son, James, grandchildren, Justin, Tara and Maia, and great grandchildren, Kaysen and Kaia. After serving in the Navy during World War II, Donald returned home to Lawrence, MA where he married Alice Hmurciak and started a family. In 1960, they moved to Los Angeles, CA where Donald began a 30 year career working for the city of Inglewood parks department. Many weekends and holidays were spent traveling and camping, a pastime that Donald and Alice greatly enjoyed - so much so that they spent their retirement traveling throughout the country. Donald was a great man, loved by many and will surely be missed. In the last days of his life he was surrounded by loved ones.
