In Loving Memory of Constance Wilhelmina Laverty Crumpacker

Constance Wilhelmina Laverty Crumpacker, affectionately known as Connie, passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 85, in Yucaipa, California. Born on April 21, 1938, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, Connie was the cherished daughter of Peter and Constance Laverty. Due to her father's health challenges, the Laverty family moved 18 times before finding a permanent home in Palm Springs, CA.

Connie's journey was marked by resilience and adaptability. She embraced life's changes with grace and determination. Connie held various jobs throughout her life, including a position at Southern California Edison, where she would meet the love of her life, William "Bill" Crumpacker.

Devoted to her community, Connie was an active member of the local Rainbow Girls assembly, serving as Mother Advisor, and later contributing to the White Shrine. Her interests were as diverse as her experiences, ranging from sewing and watercolor painting to gardening and tracing her family's rich history. Connie had a special fondness for monarch butterflies, earning her the affectionate nickname "butterfly mama."

Connie is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy Crumpacker of Yucaipa. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, and her parents, Peter and Constance Laverty.

A final resting place has been chosen at the National Cemetery in Riverside, where Connie will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bill. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Connie's name to YAPS or Mea Ola’s Place, both local animal rescues that held a special place in her heart.

Connie's legacy is one of love, resilience, and community spirit. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
